La Fontaine

La Fontaine was the grill room at the Meikles hotel, now Hyatt Regency Harare The Meikles, in central Harare. It overlooked Africa Unity Square and served a grill-house menu featuring steaks and French-influenced cooking. The restaurant dated to 1958 and was refurbished in 2013, with the Can-Can cocktail bar adjoining it. In 2025, the former restaurant space was repurposed as an events venue as part of the hotel's refurbishment. The earlier restaurant offering should therefore be treated as historical.
