Mbuya Nehanda Statue is a bronze monument in central Harare, at the intersection of Samora Machel Avenue and Julius Nyerere Way. Unveiled in 2021, it commemorates Nehanda Charwe Nyakasikana, the Shona spirit medium associated with the First Chimurenga resistance to colonial rule in the 1890s. The statue stands on a raised structure above the intersection and forms part of a national heritage monument. Public access to the statue and elevated areas has been restricted, and plans to improve access were announced in 2025.
